An ASCII-driven Sci-Fi RPG, GRIST takes place on the Shell World Atropos: A megaplanet consisting of multiple kiliometres-deep layers - worlds within worlds within worlds. From the mountainous terrain and scattered settlements of the surface, to the ancient temples and dark megacities of the interior, send your team ever deeper in search of the life-giving nanoparticle GRIST.
GRIST draws on a heritage of table-top RPGs, gamebooks, and classic CRPGs from the 1980s, resynthesizing them into a glowing terminal-wave aesthetic with driving basslines, exploding ASCII particles, and a healthy dose of existential horror.
Hexcrawl your way down into the depths of the Shell World finding lost civilisations and forgotten technologies
Take advantage of positioning in combat to avoid attacks, gain buffs, and out-manouever your enemy
Equip your team with build-defining cards salvaged from the battlefield or obtained on the black markets
